The adidas 4D Futurecraft returns in Triple Black

1. Juli 2021

The adidas 4D Futurecraft took the sneaker world by storm in 2018 – the OG colorway was recently re-released and now the model is arriving in a triple black colorway. We took a cue from the silhouette and tried to reflect the all-black aesthetic the solebox-way.

If you’re familiar with the model in general, you may already know the sole is typically tinged in a light, almost mint-esque green. Here, that is not the case, as the entire lattice construction is rendered in black to better complement the same-colored knit above. The only colour accent is the contrasting white adidas branding on the tongue – its lining, laces, and the further parts follow.

The Futurecraft initiative  kicked off in late 2015 with a 3d-printed midsole that showed the idea of tailoring a shoe to the specific needs of an individual’s foot. Since then, Futurecraft has ushered in several more concept-proving releases. The Futurecraft 4D was created in partnership with California-based firm Carbon, who introduced adidas to a technology called digital light synthesis.

Now arriving in a monochrome all-black colorway, the adidas 4D Futurecraft is available at solebox online and instore at all locations.
