On December 1st we hosted a Converse customization workshop with the German artist Dennis Buck at ‘the hub’ by solebox in Berlin.
Dennis Buck is a Berlin-based artist and designer – and even more. He blurs the lines between art and design by constant advancement. If its editorial work, brand collaborations, photo series or his beloved Buck Bags. Dennis is pretty much multi-talented. His work sparkles, it pleases the eye and makes one curious while still delivering a deeper message.
Last Thursday Dennis joined solebox at ‘the hub’ to host a customization workshop for 8 Berlin creatives to refine the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. With its simplicity the silhouette offers the perfect base for the desired type of customization. The selected customization material was Silicone – a ressource that often appears in Dennis’ work.
Everybody had a joyful evening and went home with his own customized 1-of-1 pair of Converse All Star’s. We want to thank everybody who attended for being a part of this event and look forward to the next chapter in ‘the hub’. Furthermore, big thanks to Dennis Buck for hosting the workshop and supporting the attendants with expertise and inspiration.
