The PUMA Clyde celebrates its 50th anniversary with a series of special releases. First introduced in 1973 and worn on the hardwood by New York Knicks legend Walter „Clyde“ Frazier, the silhouette became a true icon through its connection to hip hop culture.
Worn by legends of the community, the sneaker is a staple in the streets of London – spotted everywhere from the local record dealer to the barber shop.
On this occasion we have teamed up with owner of London’s oldest record shop and producer Chris Price aka Chris @peckings to get to know his story. We also visited the iconic barber shop @askew_cuts to meet the owner Ismael Tahr and dive deeper into the multi-cultural community of London.
The Puma Clyde SOHO pays homage to one of the city’s most vibrant districts with a very British colorway. Hairy navy suede is complimented with a textured red form stripe and gold accents.
