With the Puma Mostro, one of the early 2000s cult silhouettes returns. To celebrate the re-release, the shoemaker teamed up with solebox and hosted a summer party in Berlin.
Initially released in 1999, the Puma Mostro was inspired by track running shoes and managed to gain a foothold in early 2000s street culture, eventually appearing in the movie “The Island”. 25 years later, it’s time for the dynamic & slick silhouette to make its return to the streets.
To celebrate this, solebox & Puma co-hosted a summer party at TOR 86 in Berlin, where Danish artist & designer Filip Samuel Berg presented the shoes creatively, arranged on an oversized chess board featuring black and white lawn chairs seen in the campaign for the Mostro.
The soundtrack came from Bipolar Soundsystem who played a mix of afrobeat and techno tracks for the crowd. Aside from softdrinks and water, guests enjoyed Mojitos, Cuba Libres and ice-cold slushies by Havana Club while Peroni provided refreshing beers. Tiny’s Pizza brought their delicious Neapolitan-style pizza, fresh-made and served hot straight out of the oven. For those craving sweets, our ice cream bike offered a selection of different flavours ready to go.
