The famous Asics Gel-Lyte III silhouette makes its return once again as part of the brand’s “Day-Lyte Pack”: the Asics Gel-Lyte III OG ‘DAY LYTE’. As an homage to the history of color and the semi-precious gemstone the colorway was named after, we broke the visible light spectrum with it to reveal the tourmaline for all of us. Speaking colors in every detail, this hero of the pack is all about positivity, just like the power of the gemstone that the colorway originates from. In the 19th century, chemists used Tourmaline gemstones to polarize light by shining light onto a cut and polished surface of the gem. On a mission to unleash the tourmaline, we broke the light once more with gems and prisms.
Resting on a black sole and heel details, the Asics Gel-Lyte III OG ‚DAY LYTE’ sports the original shape and features a prominent neon green from the ankle overlays to the mesh toe box. The green flow is complemented by orange and blue materials throughout the suede overlays, where after purple, yellow and red details make up for the finishing touch.
