Since its first release, the Nike Air Max 180 has become a cult classic among sneaker enthusiasts with its revolutionary design. For this year’s re-release, we teamed up with Berlin-based OG sneakerhead ICEBERG to bring home his favorite Air Max.
Together with ICEBERG, we make our way through Berlin in a pair of one of his favorite sneakers, the Air Max 180. With more than 2000 pairs of Air Max in his extensive archive, the „Master of Air“ is one of the premier sneakerheads, not only in Germany, but internationally, occasionally showing his collection in exhibitions.
As one of Iceberg’s favorite shoes, dubbed the „dream of his youth“, he is delighted to see it return in its original form.
True to the initial vision, the air unit is back, visible in 180 degrees and directly on the ground – a revolution in 1991 and a standout feature to this day.
With this release, the upper stays true to the original, with a white base accentuated by eye-catching solar red and ultramarine blue details. It’s one for the OGs, like ICEBERG, and its impact can be traced throughout later Air Max iterations like the iconic 95 and 97.
The Nike Air Max 180 will be available from May 24th via solebox.com and all solebox locations.
