Earlier this year adidas presented the enhanced version of the iconic NMD – A premium design and quality silhouette. First released in December 2015, the NMD united the past and the future. It turned to an instant classic and adidas continues to build on that.
The NMD S1 takes on iconic details from its predecessor and further develops those – at the same time these elements are designed differently than ever before.
The silhouette features a seamless 3D Primeknit upper breaking into a sole based entirely on the beloved boost technology. The sole is where drastic modifications were made. The Boost unit is coated in a near translucent outsole. Trefoil logos and modified side panels complete the futuristic outcome.
Towards the end of 2022 the NMD S1 keeps us moving with two ‘White’ and a ‘Black’ executions of the model. As the name suggests the two colorways display the exact opposite of each other.
The ‘White’ pair comes through clean and playful featuring a cream outsole and violet side panels. On the other side Green details on the ‘Black’ colorway make the silhouette look almost gloomy.
Both colorways create a different forecast on the future world. On the one side there’s a dark, more technical and sophisticated world and on the other side there’s the light – wild and boundless. An infusion of human perspectives in a tech-driven world.
The adidas NMD S1 in ‘Black’ and ‘White’ will be available from December 15th via solebox.com and all solebox locations.
