Originally introduced in 1983, the Classic Leather has since evolved from an OG running shoe into a pop culture piece in its own right. Sure, we may associate the shoe with more sartorial ambitions today, but it still boasts plenty of comfort-driven tech. Now Reebok is bringing the silhouette back in two colorways, as close to the 1983 original as it’s ever been.
Our film pays tribute to the original purpose of the silhouette: running. In an age in which being locked in again and again has become bitter reality, the brief moments of complete freedom are becoming increasingly rare.
We address the everyday life that everyone has to go through from time to time. Stress, problems and how to solve and escape them – with the help of running empowerment.
Inspired by original 1983 catalog colorways, the Classic Leather 1983 Vintage serves to reimagine Reebok’s beloved footwear archive. The model features OG details such as a terry lining in vintage look, piping in the heel area and the original midsole with a special feel. But that’s not all – the tongue label and taffeta weave label come straight from the archive.
A minimalist silhouette with clean lines and no extravagance in sight – a timeless pair of shoes that will keep you running tirelessly through all the fleeting trends of each season.
The Reebok Classic Leather 1983 Vintage Pack will be available at solebox from February 15th.
