Set to release on May 4th, New Balance returned to its iconic 990 silhouette for the upcoming 990v5. Dressed in the classic grey colorway and an upper constructed from mesh and high quality suede the sneaker can be associated with its predecessors. Together with our friend @kanescans we shot an editorial to give you some impressions on the models new version.

Pig suede and mesh constructions with leather accents provide a valuable look. The tongue features a „Made in The USA“ branding badge and the signature „N“ motif can be found on the side panels of the shoe. Other attributes of the model include a new rubber detailing around the ankle collar, as well as ENCAP tooling and a red and black „V5“ logo on the heel.
Arriving in the classic grey and navy blue the model seems a bit more refined in terms of its construction as well as modernized for the current fanbase. With a slightly shortened profile and a more rounded toe box the new iteration provides additional space for its width.
