ROA balances form and function in minimalist design for fashion-conscious mountaineers. Inspired by hiking silhouettes, the Italian outdoor brand creates genuine outdoor products with functional design and innovative materials.
Founded in 2015 as the brainchild of Italian retailer Slam Jam and technical footwear designer Maurizio Quaglia, ROA focuses on functionality above all to create designs for everyday use in any environment – the trail, the peak or the streets.
The brand takes its name from the Forcella della Roa, a picturesque mountain peak in the Dolomites, which also inspired the stylised logo.
Silhouettes like the Andreas, Neal and Oblique built the foundation for the footwear brand, which successfully grew its aesthetics into a full apparel range in Fall/Winter 22.
ROA attracts mostly fashion enthusiasts, having found itself at the cutting edge of the gorpcore trend. This is reflected by its carefully selected retail partners and collaborations with the likes of 1017 ALYX 9SM, A-Cold-Wall or Stüssy.
Still, the label remains innovative and authentic when it comes to developing clothing and footwear for passionate hikers with the input of experts in both fashion and technicality.
