The Nike Attack is back. Following the first ever retro of the OG grey and black colorway in June, John McEnroe’s signature sneaker returns in white and black.
John McEnroe was the original bad boy in tennis. The seven-time Grand Slam winner was notorious for his competitive attitude and on-court disputes with opponents and umpires.
The Nike Attack first released in 1984, embracing McEnroe’s rebellious nature that had caught the attention of the Swoosh in the otherwise conservative sport of tennis.
The bold and bulky mid-cut silhouette went against the grain of minimalist, all-white pairs worn on the court at the time, forever redefining the way tennis sneakers looked.
Picking up the iconic checkerboard design of the tongue tag and black and white colorway, we teamed up with Nike to create an extremely limited custom chess set.
The Nike Attack “White/Black” will be available from September 14th via solebox.com and all solebox locations.
