Album of the Week: Lyrical Lemonade – All is Yellow

26. Januar 2024

This year we decided to channel our passion for music in the solebox HQ into a new content series. With solebox sounds we want to highlight our favorite new album of the week.

Our pick for this week is the much-anticipated studio compilation album All is Yellow by Lyrical Lemonade.

Cole Bennett, the music video director and producer behind Lyrical Lemonade, assembled a star roster of artists, ranging from Sheck Wes and Ski Mask the Slump God to Eminem and Kid Cudi, as well as a posthumous feature from the late Juice Wrld.

What makes this album truly unique is the mix of different genres and unexpected collaborations, such as Lil Durk and Kid Cudi coming together on “Guitar in My Room”. Bennett describes the project as his first movie, with the individual songs and music videos connected by a common theme – a yellow curtain.

All is Yellow is a testament to what Bennett has built over the last 10 years, having directed countless music videos since starting Lyrical Lemonade as a blog in high school. Coordinating 35 artists to create 14 original songs and music videos to go along with it, is undoubtably his most ambitious project to date.
