BAPE XXV Exhibition

9. Oktober 2018

Is there a better way to celebrate two and a half decades as one of the world’s most influential streetwear brands than unveiling an amazing line-up of collaborations at the stage of an exclusive event? We don’t think so. For this reason we didn’t hesitate to hop on a plane to Tokyo when we received the invite to be part of this experience.

Taking place in Omotesando Hills, Tokyo, we were welcomed by an actual F1 race car covered in camouflage in front of the luxurious venue as well as a giant Baby Milo balloon hung over a massive staircase decorated in BAPE’s new »City Camo«. The exhibition itself was filled with a breathtaking variety of collaborations with long-term partners as adidas and Medicom Toy plus surprising new players on the roster like Swarovski, Mont Blanc, Barbie and UGG.

Besides those products, photographers‘ lenses were also attracted by a vast amount of influential faces from the contemporary streetwear culture. We met newcomer Verdy alongside more established creatives like our friend Koji from atmos, STASH, UNDFTD’s James Bond, Neighborhood’s Shinsuke Takizawa or Tetsu Nishiyama from WTAPS. The latter were also part of another centerpiece of the exhibition – 10 man-high Baby Milo figures designed by 10 artists from all creative fields.

Here are the highlights we are looking forward to in the next months:

Mitchell & Ness Basketball Jersey Collection

Montblanc Pen

G-Shock Watch
