Originally worn on football fields across the USA, the Nike Field General has transcended its roots – just like Cozyvu, Instagram curator and member of the solebox community in Berlin.
While the silhouette of the Nike Field General clearly recalls its athletic heritage, the overall design is clean and unobtrusive. A mix of smooth leather – both faux and real – and textile on a light waffle sole provides high comfort and makes the shoe a versatile piece for any outfit.
Whereas sneakerheads often opt for well-established classics, Long Thien Vu – or @cozyvu on Instagram – likes to experiment with different fits paired with layered, fashion-forwardclothes that tend to stray from streetwear templates. The results can regularly be seen in our Berlin store while the Instagram page provides a fascinating view of the inspirations.
What started out on Tumblr has turned into a unique moodboard on Instagram and consecutively bloomed into something bigger, more collective. Drawing on urban & natural vistas, Cozyvu’s online presence mirrors their own identity and personal growth while their Vietnamese roots provide a cultural anchor to the overall simple, but chic looks and designs on display.
With its similar design sensibilities, the Nike Field General fits perfectly into the Cozyvu-cosmos.
