solebox celebrates the 40th anniversary of an icon that took the world by storm. For this, we are teaming up with Melisa Minca to inspire the community with new ideas for self-expression. The Nike Air Force 1 High ‚Sculpt‘ is releasing on December 21st. To accompany this, a lucky few will have the chance to create a unique apparel piece from reclaimed Nike garments during our upcycling workshop with Melisa Minca, taking place in Berlin on December 11th.
To celebrate the release of the Nike Air Force 1 High ‚Sculpt‘, solebox is hosting a workshop together with Melisa Minca and Nike in Berlin on December 11th. Here a lucky few will have the chance to create their own unique apparel together with Melisa Minca.
Melisa Minca is a Berlin-based up cycling enthusiast and designer. Her interest in ethical fashion started to grow when she was studying Sustainable Development.
In 2018 she launched her own online-shop where you can find her collections of upcycled and reworked one-of-a-kind clothes designed and made by herself and her team in Berlin.
Upcycling is not a lifestyle for Melisa, but a necessity. It serves as a bridge between ethical fashion and contemporary design. It’s for eccentric individuals who want to express themselves, but at the same time not contribute to the pollution and human exploitation that much of the fashion industry causes.
Melisa’s mission is to change the way people look at clothes, but also the way they treat each other. What you wear should not uphold a hierarchy, but celebrate the diversity of people.
With the classic Nike AF1 High silhouette, the shoe is the perfect base for creative self-expression. The cut-out Swoosh of the Air Force 1 Mid ‚Sculpt‘ goes beneath the surface to reveal the energy of female visionaries. Follow your own creativity and let Melisa’s motto ‚Less Buying, More Styling‘ inspire new thoughts.
