Honoring its heritage in the sport of tennis, Lacoste introduces a new range of court-inspired sneakers. The Lacoste Lineshot draws inspiration from the French sportswear brand’s archive of performance tennis sneakers from the ‘90s.
Lacoste has a rich history closely connected with the history of tennis. Founder René Lacoste was an accomplished tennis player in the 1920s, nicknamed the crocodile for his tenacious style of play on the court.
The tennis shirt designed by Lacoste in 1926 – now more commonly referred to as the polo shirt – revolutionized tennis attire. It soon became a business casual menswear staple, before securing its place as a streetwear icon in the suburbs of Paris, New York and Sao Paolo.
True to the Lacoste DNA, the new silhouette takes cues from the Ace OG, Thunder OG and Game OG. A mix of premium materials brings together smooth nappa leather and suede on the upper with ballistic mesh for ventilation on the padded collar.
